When Death Looms July 26, 2007

Life is short. We have to die one day. It’s a matter of when. When we reach a stage of our lives, we stop to think of our past achievements and regrets. It is said that life’s too short for regrets. The doctor may be telling you that your heart is no longer functioning well and have a few months to leave.

At this stage, what would you be thinking? Marry as soon as possible? Just declare online that you are looking for a husband/wife? Give birth as soon as possible? Why do we delay in giving birth? Because we need to have enough money to even marry in the first place.

There are girls dying of aneroxia so that they can be thin. Skeleton thin. Scary. This cat is able to spend some time with you if you are dying soon. Wonder if it’s a good or bad thing.

It Should Have Stopped but It Didn’t July 19, 2007

That was uncalled for. I feel that I’m the one in the wrong when all I wanted to was to avoid blowing things out of proportion. It seems that I was doing it wrong. I have no mood to work and now I feel like curling up at home and crying my heart out.

I felt that the post was totally written out of pure hatred and emotional. There was no need to call anyone names but the label was too strong. The reaction was too strong and profanities were used. That was uncalled for. Even a ban was called for. That was insulting.

Even assumptions were drawn concluding that a “15-year-old” was sprouting it. Now, if that assumption was drawn, why did you continue to fuel yourself? Then wouldn’t you be the one who is immature?

I’m trying to cool things down but maybe I have done it wrong. However, it was not understood. Perhaps, I should stay away from that place from now on. Yes. I should.

Breakfast does not entice me right now.

Sleepy Weekend July 14, 2007

Spent my weekend with DD. Took MC for Friday not because it was Friday the 13th but because I was just too tired from the lack of sleep by the nightly coughing. Thankfully, most of the tasks have been completed, I hope. I tried to make some pancakes from the pancake mix and it was terrible. The pancakes were out of shape. The 1st was out of shape and charred. 😥 I had tried at home and it was round. Maybe I’m not used to the pan. I made a few more and none of them turned out decent! Although, one looked heart-shaped. However, DD happily tore it into half.

No point taking photos of my mesh up pancakes. So sad. I didn’t know how to use a pan. I used a wok the last time. The pancakes turned out fine. I need more practice. DD made me some spaghettis, way better than the 1st time with them not so well cooked. Yummy. No photos either. I think Keropokman would have taken way much yummier photos of the meal than I would have.

Scandals Abound Ping.sg July 5, 2007

For those who have been following ECL’s posts on the posts pertaining to Ping.sg, it is truly shocking and scandalous to note that there are love triangles and pentagons and what nots in it!

While rumours are bound to be flying around especially when it’s Ping.sg’s 1st anniversary party coming up, DK has proposed to Sheylara in shoutbox. While ECL posts all sorts of entertaining posts to fight for the Most Entertaining Post and Most Entertaining Blog of the year, DK has proposed to Sheylara in order to win. Tsk.

The worst is that there are rumours on DK’s sexuality. *grasp*

Actually he traumatised Sheylara by saying he would be spending the night with her if he won the trophy.

This is a PPP. Not to be taken seriously 😛

Are SG Girls Materialistic? July 3, 2007

A comment here states that Singaporean women are materialistic. I wonder if the progress of this country has made the women materialistic. It has often been in discussion that men and women are equal of some sorts. Women should be able to work and still clean the house after a hard day’s work while the men should be able to enjoy the warm home-cooked meal after a hard day’s work. Now that women are able to study, women should be doing what men does, here, men complete NS and so must the women too. Then they will not complain about sissy men and all.

Just last week, a colleague was stating the cost of his wedding, estimated to be 25k for the dinner itself. The cost of the flat and renovation have not been factored in yet. Why such a high cost? Parents prefer 9 course dinner. Hotels and restaurants charge peak rates for dinners held during the weekends. That’s where they rake in the money.

Although being a filthy rich guy may make you “hotter” than those handsome but poor guys, it doesn’t make sure the girl stays with you if you ain’t got the character. Mindsets here have not changed by leaps and bounds. Guys still have to pay for the majority of the wedding, it’s no wonder the marrying age is getting older and why girls are dating those old men with cash to spare. They don’t get married too old. That’s for some girls.

A materialistic girl is someone who will stay with that guy only when he can lavish gifts and expensive holiday trips on her. Once, he hits a low, expect her to disappear. This post, however, degrades the guy’s perspective.

Random reads for today. It’s hot and humid today and my bet is that I’m going to hit the showers (new shower head, the other one stayed at power jets that won’t change no matter what. Not nice to hurt any sensitive parts of your body.)

It has been a long day. I’m sleepy and tired. Were supposed to meet up with DD’s friends at 10.30am but the delay was till 2.30pm when the first 2 arrived. The rest subsequently arrived quickly after that. We had planned to go have some fun in Wild Wild Wet because of the complimentary tickets but didn’t go because we didn’t know what time they would arrive.

What a waste. I had planned extra clothes only to bring them back again without needing a new change of clothes. My family had went yesterday for some relaxation. Like I said, it felt more modern than getaway from modernisation. The Internet connection was lousy. DD couldn’t even get a signal. However, without that modernisation, the toilet wouldn’t be that great. What a contradiction.

The morning brought some rain and some peace and quiet. The next door neighbours had moved in on Saturday to party late into the night. I think they slept at 4am. I woke up a couple of times only to hear their loud talking. Their music started again in the afternoon and in the evening, their loud games. I call them the Loud Ones. They want everyone to know their presence. No wonder I hate to stay overnight at chalet sometimes. The air-con is good to sleep in but the walls are not sound proof. Oh, by the way, their singing can slaughter pigs too.

Lonely Chalet April 28, 2007

I’m so tired. Having been away from Downtown East for quite a long time, there are renovations going on to build 5 new cinemas and shopping area. Frankly speaking, we’re getting so pampered these days that going on a chalet doesn’t really feel like chalet anymore. The relaxed away from the city doesn’t seem to have that feeling anymore. I thought going to the chalet meant going to the beach nearby and relax.  Just us and nature.

The upgraded chalet in block A is larger and more spacious than last time. An oven and bigger fridge has been included. A hot water flask and 4 cups for use. I wonder if the flask was provided years back.

So lonely, no one there now. I’m going back soon.
